April... turns to December, hmm probably the basis for some mellow sappy love song that has thankfully been forgotten. My infrequent splurge of creative babbling has manifested itself today, hooray! On the home front, I can quite confidently say that I am a non-smoker. Alan Carr's 131 page epic on how to quit smoking struck a chord with me and I haven't touched the stuff since that fateful day back in July 04. Quite amazing really, 21 years of polluting lungs and killing pocketbook is quite simply Done... end of story. The game zone... Ah yes, when the weekend club DJ isn't doing his thing it's my idle time... I live for idle time. Since april a bit has changed Diablo 2 released a 1.11 patch. They rewrote all the game dll's. Thereby rendering any hacks absolutely useless. So my beloved maphack doesn't work. Bleh haven't played since then probably will let online accounts be deleted, nice call Blizzard/Battle.net. Blogshares... um nah, I do miss some of the chat sessions though. Simcountry.com, I let my empire go idle... Did restart with a new country here in the last month or so... It's a log in once a day spend 10-30 mins, carry on with other stuff. The other stuff, yeah, KoL After a gmail that sat unopened for a few months from a certain wonderchicken. I decided to give it a try, played it a bit in Jan-Feb of this year but let my account go idle and be deleted... I was rather annoyed that I hadn't logged in time to save it as it must have been close (60 day account deletion) I'm sure I logged in 61-65 days later, ouch. No matter recreated the account (murphs) and started again in May. I spend entirely too much time there now. It has become my online game of choice. June ascension was implemented after about 6 months after the rumours of it happening had hit. The game itself is a web based cheesy graphics, adventure game that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's loaded with punny sayings and references to it's nethack, zork, mud roots. Most importantly KoL is totally free to play. Played some Runescape it's a Java based MMORPG closer to Diablo 2, read nice graphics :-) though the free play is quite limited. Found yet another MMORPG conquerer, the download is 500+MB Luckily it was on a magazine CD, have I mentioned lately that dialup sucks, no, ok. Oh great it wants to download a 33MB patch. :\ Still muddling through the readme's on the game and haven't bothered to start it up... but it does look interesting (free as well).
